Marshbrook
has many strengths,. This is a school with many good
features. The majority of pupil's reach high standards in English
and Mathematics by the time they leave the school. The school has
developed a good climate for learning, pupils' attitudes to their work
are very good and there are very good relationships in the school.
It is very well led and managed by the headteacher who has set a good
educational direction. The school gives good value for money. We are a "listening
school" where we appreciate that parents are the children's first
educators and, therefore, we seek to build a strong partnership between
home and school throughout your child's time here.
In
addition, we have excellent facilities and enjoy support from the
community at large. All these factors enable us to provide
high standards of education and behaviour, and we continue to strive for
success academically and to develop personal qualities in all our
children.
SCHOOL
AIMS
The
Governors and Staff of Marshbrook First School promote the following
aims:
1.
Provide a high quality of education that stimulates and challenges
children so that they can achieve their full potential in all areas of
the Curriculum.
2.
Seek to promote social, moral, cultural, intellectual, physical and
spiritual development of our children, which is sufficiently
differentiated to meet the needs of all children.
3.
To create a positive learning environment where pupils are valued by
others and are part of the extended family and are prepared for the
opportunities and experiences of adult life.
4.
To provide a creative curriculum which involves investigation and
experimentation enabling all children to develop enquiring minds and the
ability to question and apply themselves with perseverance.
5.
Inclusion will provide equality of opportunity regardless of disability,
special educational need, ability, race, gender or religion and
encourage respect and tolerance of others. 6.
To develop close links between home and school creating a partnership
between parents and teachers and the wider community.
7.
To further a pupil's awareness of religious and moral values so enabling
them to appreciate the multi-cultural and multi-ethnic diversity of our
society.
8.
To develop positive attributes to learning particularly independence,
confidence, co-operation and enthusiasm.
